LOUISVILLE, NY –
Brian Gonsalves and
Collin Kuester of the Skidmore College men's lacrosse team were honored as 2025 Division III United States Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Scholar All-Americans, as revealed by the organization on Tuesday morning. In addition, the program was among a select group of Division III teams to receive the Team Scholar Award.
Kuester earned the selection after finishing his collegiate career with a 3.90 cumulative Grade Point Average, while Gonsalves graduated with a cumulative GPA of 3.50 to also make the list. The duo marks the 14th and 15th Scholar All-American selections in program history (as well as the first time multiple student-athletes were selected in the same year), and the first since Sam Ohotnicky was selected back in 2021. Jack Metzler (2017), Kevin Mulvey (2016), Sam Christiansen (2015), Quinn Hawkins (2014), Michael Perlow (2013), Scott Grillo (2010), Kevin Robar (2008), Charlie McNeil (2007), James deGorter (2006), Chris Bivona (2003), and Brian McCawley (2002).
As a team, the Thoroughbreds registered a GPA of 3.458 during the spring semester to qualify, with 38 student-athletes earning a 3.0 or higher GPA. The program was one of just three Liberty League teams to earn the team scholar honor, with RPI and Ithaca rounding out the list.
