Box Score MIDDLEBURY, Vt.— A slow start doomed the Skidmore College men's lacrosse team in an 18-10 road loss to Middlebury College, Tuesday in Vermont.
 
The Thoroughbreds (4-9) struggled out of the gate, trailing 3-2 after the first quarter and 7-2 at the half. The Panthers (7-6) held off a third quarter Skidmore comeback before ending the three-game Thoroughbred win streak.
 
Kevin Mulvey continued his outstanding play with four goals and two assists.  Brock Bakewell added two goals, while Josh Trachtenberg added two goals , an assist , and four ground balls.
 
Skidmore travels to top ranked RIT on Saturday for a 5 p.m. game.
