LOUISVILLE, Ky.– Sophomore
Michael Aiello and senior
David Koffler from the Skidmore College men's lacrosse team were recognized as All-America Honorable Mention by the United State Intercollegiate Lacrosse Association (USILA) Wednesday afternoon.
They are the first Skidmore All-Americans in men's lacrosse since 2013, and the 20
th and 21
st all-time.
Michael Aiello (#18, So., A, Rockville Centre, New York) – USILA All-America Honorable Mention (Attack)
Aiello is the Liberty League leader with 4.40 points per game across 15 contests, where the sophomore had an even 30 goals and 36 assists for 66 points. Aiello had 32 points (16 goals, 16 assists) in seven conference games, and had the game-winning goal twice. Aiello also had 16 ground balls, six caused turnovers, and shot at 30.3 percent. Aiello, the former Liberty League Rookie of the Year, was also named to the All-Liberty League First Team in 2026.
David Koffler (#21, Sr., M, New York, New York) – USILA All-America Honorable Mention (Midfield)
Koffler started all 16 games for Skidmore as a senior in 2026. Offensively, he scored 26 goals, a career best, with seven assists for 33 points. He finished his Skidmore career with 57 goals, 19 assists, and 76 points. In the midfield, he was a key cog in the Skidmore transition and defensive end as well. He had 27 ground balls and 10 caused turnovers, while being called for just two penalties all year. The three-time All-Liberty League selection was recently voted to the all-league second team.
