POUGHKEEPSIE, N.Y. - The 27th ranked Skidmore men's tennis team fell to Vassar College 5-2 in the Liberty League championships match, Monday morning.
The Thoroughbreds move to 11-8 on the season and have a shot at claiming an at-large bid to the NCAA Division III Tournament after playing several top 25 programs this season including key wins over Trinity College and The College of New Jersey.
The match came down to
Jimmy Sherpa's number one singles match against Andrew Guzick, with Guzick prevailing 6-3, 6-3.
Miles Ransom won his number two singles match defeating Dan Freeman 6-4, 6-2, and paired with
Gabe Steerman for an 8-5 win at number three doubles.
