Box Score Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's soccer team got out to a fast start and never looked back as they cruised to a 6-0 victory over Sage, Tuesday night at Wachenheim Field.
 
The Thoroughbreds improve to 1-3, while the Gators fall to 0-4.
 
Skidmore posted three goals in the first 6:41 to take early command of the game.  Caty Sheridan opened the scoring after Arena Manning corralled a rebound and found Sheridan to make it 1-0.  Kelsey Yam made it 2-0 less than three minutes later on a shot from eight yards out before Sheridan tallied her second of the game on a centering pass from Yam at 6:41. 
 
Morgan Governale made it a four-goal lead at 14:24 as she found the back of the net off a centering pass from Sheridan.  The Thoroughbreds held a 4-0 lead at the half and added a pair of goals in the second half.  Yam made it 5-0 with her second of the game as she took a pass in the box on a breakaway from Manning and Erin Barry capped the scoring with a blast from 24 yards out for her first collegiate goal.
 
Gab Lawrence earned the win in goal as she faced no shots in the first 22:53.  Sandra Richardson made two stops in the final 67:07 for Skidmore.  Teagan Waddingham finished with nine saves in net for the Gators.
 
Sheridan and Yam each finished with two goals and an assist, while Manning tallied two helpers.
 
Skidmore returns to action on Saturday at Oneonta for a 12:30 p.m. start.
