Basking Ridge, N.J. - The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team suffered a 16-9 loss to Haverford in Wednesday night's non-conference matchup at Ridge High School.
The Thoroughbreds fall to 1-2, while the Fords improve to 1-3.
Skidmore's
Richie Davis netted the game's first goal but Haverford ran off six unanswered tallies over a 12-minute span to take command. The Thoroughbreds creapt within three, 7-4, by halftime, but the Haverford attack proved too strong as they never allowed Skidmore to get into an offensive rhythm en route to the 16-9 win.
Davis netted a hat trick for Skidmore, while
Tony Baum added a pair of goals and
Mike Perlow tallied two assists.
Ryan Paradis won 16-of-27 faceoffs and recorded a game-high eight ground balls.
Connor Dowling finished with 16 saves.
Phillip Valiant provided the offense for the Fords with seven goals and Joe Banno made 13 saves in goal.
Skidmore travels to Trinity on Saturday for a 1 p.m. game.
