Canton, N.Y. - The Skidmore College men's tennis team completed its weekend sweep with a 9-0 win over St. Lawrence, Sunday afternoon at Newell Field House.
The Thoroughbreds improve to 4-0 on the season, while the Saints fall to 0-5.
Skidmore started out with a dominating performance in doubles.
Alec Hoblitzell and
Jimmy Sherpa teamed up for an 8-3 win at number one doubles and
Danny Knight and
Oliver Loutsenko won 8-2 at number two doubles.
Max Bevan and
Luke Granger rounded out doubles with an 8-2 win at number three doubles.
In singles, Loutsenko won 6-4, 7-5 at number one singles and Sherpa was a 6-1, 6-0 winner at number two singles. Granger was a 6-3, 6-2 winner at number three singles, while
Miles Ransom won 6-1, 6-0 at number four singles and Hoblitzell won 6-1, 6-0 at number five singles. Knight completed the capped the shutout with a 6-3, 6-1 win at number six singles.
The Thoroughbreds return to action on March 12 when they take on Trinity (TX) in Claremont, Calif.
