Skidmore downs Williams in OT

Williamstown, Mass.—Richie Davis scored with 2:44 to play in the second overtime to give Skidmore College a 9-8 win over Williams College in men's lacrosse action Tuesday evening.
 
The Thoroughbreds improve to 4-3, while the Ephs drop to 0-3.
 
Mike Holden gave the Thoroughbreds an 8-5 lead with 12:31 to play in the third quarter.  Williams battled back with three straight over the final 17:29, including the tying goal with only 22 seconds left in regulation.
 
After a scoreless first overtime, Davis ended the game with his eighth goal of the season off a Jon Hoeg assist.
 
Holden finished with three goals. Matt Ohara added two goals and Hoeg had a goal and three assists. Connor Dowling had 11 saves in goal for the Thoroughbreds. Skidmore opens Liberty League play on Saturday at 1 p.m.
