#12 Skidmore lacrosse set to host #11 Middlebury

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team will face off against Middlebury College in a battle of nationally ranked teams, at 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Wachenheim Field.

The Thoroughbreds are 8-1 on the season and moved up one spot in the latest USILA Division III Coaches Poll, while the 6-2 Panthers dropped from seventh after a 9-7 loss to #10 Amherst. Skidmore has won six straight and is unbeaten its last 10 games at Wachenheim Field.

Sophomore Mike Holden (Cape Elizabeth, Maine) leads Skidmore with 18 goals, 3 assists for 21 points, while senior Ben Cornell (Natick, Mass.) and sophomore Mike Perlow (Briarcliff, N.Y.) each have 16 goals and 20 points. Junior goalie Connor Dowling (Darien, Conn.) is 6-0 on the year, posting a 6.82 goals against average and a .609 save percentage. Junior midfielder Ryan Paradis is 109-173 (.630) on faceoffs and has a team-high 57 ground balls.

Middlebury is led by David Hild offensively, he has 24 goals and nine assists for a team-high 33 points. Ryan Deane has started every game in goal this season and is now 6-2 with a 7.60 goals against average and a .595 save percentage.
