Geneva, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team defeated Hobart 8-1 on Saturday at the HWS Tennis Center.
Sophomore
Luke Granger (Allendale, N.J.) beat Bruce Grant 6-2, 7-6 at number one singles and teamed up with classmate
Max Bevan (Convent Station, N.J.) to defeat Matt Hursh/Matt Chin 8-2 at number two doubles.
Spencer Cheng (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) and
Lorenzo Cabrera (Daly City, Calif.) combined to win 9-8 over Grant/Alex James at number one doubles. Cheng also won 6-2, 3-6, 6-4 at number two singles and Cabrera won 7-6, 2-6, 6-3 at number three singles.
The Thoroughbreds host St. Lawrence at 1 p.m. on Saturday, April 10.
