Kings Point, N.Y.-- The Skidmore College men's lacrosse team improved to 4-1 with a 13-6 win at the U.S> Merchant Marine Academy on Saturday. USMMA falls to 4-2.
Skidmore dominated the game from the start opening a 7-1 halftime lead that increased to 9-2 after three.
Eight different players scored for the well-balanced Thoroughbred attack. J.P Sullivan,
Cory Barkoff,
Tom Howley,
Mike Perlow, and
Mike Holden all had two goals each.
Skidmore held a large 47-21 shot advantage, with Thoroughbred goalie
Flip Bongaerts getting the win in goal with three saves in 54:53.
Skidmore is back in action Wednesday against nationally ranked Tufts University in a game that will be played at Hofstra.
