Women’s tennis competes at UAlbany

Albany, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's tennis team opened up its spring season with a 6-1 loss on Tuesday at UAlbany.
Freshman Brittany Trimble (Whitefish Bay, Wis.) defeated Melissa Coughlin in three sets, 7-6 (8-6), 4-6, 6-0 and the doubles team of Tory Engros (Bronxville, N.Y.) and Laura Attley (Chatham, N.J.) also won for the Thoroughbreds, defeating Aubrey Brooks and Sarah Iannone 8-3.
Junior Rachel Loeb (Greenwood Village, Colo.) lost a tough three set match to Laine Mackey 4-6, 6-4, 4-6 and Danika Robison (South Burlington, Vt.) and Nataly Mendoza (San Francisco, Calif.) lost a close doubles match, 5-8 to Mackey and Susan Ma.
Skidmore will return to action on Feb. 27, when they host RPI at 1 p.m.
