Ginevra Muratori was named the Liberty League Women's Tennis Player of the Year and Rookie of the Year as announced on Tuesday. Classmate
Amelie Gonzalez joined Muratori on the All-Liberty League First Team in both singles and doubles.
Muratori is the first Skidmore player to earn both awards since Ada Wiggins and Risa Fukushige did it in consecutive years in 2017 and 2018, respectively. She follows
Konika Dhull as Skidmore now has back-to-back Players of the Year, and she's the first Thoroughbred Rookie of the Year since Dea Koiava in 2019.

The NCAA-bound standout has a 41-20 overall record heading into the individual tournament. She is 21-9 in singles, including a 14-4 dual-match record and went a perfect 7-0 in regular-season Liberty League matches. Muratori enters the NCAA Singles Tournament on a three-match win streak. In doubles, she is 20-11 overall, including an 18-11 mark with Gonzalez. The duo went 6-0 against the Liberty League and 11-6 overall in dual matches. They are 8-2 in their last 10 and on a four-match winning streak.
Amelie Gonzalez (Fr., San Juan, Puerto Rico) – All-Liberty League First Team Singles, All-Liberty League First Team Doubles
Playing primarily out of the No. 2 singles position and No. 1 doubles for Skidmore, Gonzalez has a combined record of 31-23, including a 12-11 mark in singles. She was 6-1 against conference opponents in the regular season, and won her first-round playoff match and was ahead in the semifinal when the match was completed. In doubles, she is 19-12 overall, including an 18-11 mark with Muratori. The duo went 6-0 against the Liberty League and 11-6 overall in dual matches. They are 8-2 in their last 10 and on a four-match winning streak.
