AMHERST, MA – The Amherst College (10-4-1) men's ice hockey team picked up a 3-0 win over Skidmore College this evening in a home game at Orr Rink. Amherst grabbed a pair of goals from senior Brendan Powers (Walpole, MA), while sophomore Cole Anderson (Sylvan Lake, AB) posted the shutout in net.

Anderson made 36 saves in net for Amherst earning the shutout win, while Colin Bessey made 36 stops for Skidmore.

The Thoroughbreds (9-7) are home Friday against UMASS Boston.
