Proud sendoff for hockey seniors

Note: In anticipation of Skidmore's virtual Commencement ceremony on May 30, there will be a team-by-team salute to senior athletes of the Class of 2020. This is the first of 19 presentations prepared with head coach input. Next up: women's basketball (May 23) and men's and women's basketball (May 23).
 
 
Brandon Kasel is a business major from Ithaca, N.Y. As a four-year letter-winning goaltender, Brandon competed in 82 games, finishing with a .919 Save %, 2.65 Goals Against Average, and 31-39-7 record. Brandon was named to the NEHC All-Rookie team during his freshman year and the NEHC Third team during his senior campaign. He was also named the team's MVP Award during his final season. He is a repeat Thoroughbred Society Inductee, NEHC All-Academic Team recipient, and AHCA All-American Scholar. He received the Skidmore Senior Athlete Award. Upon graduation, Brandon will look to compete professionally prior to putting his Business degree to use.
 
Jason Lem is a health and human physiological sciences major with a business minor from Raleigh, N.C.  Jason's career was defined by his competitiveness and his selflessness. As a four-year letter-winning defenseman who played some games at forward, Jason competed in 43 games, contributing 1 goal and 1 assist. He received the team's Schofield Award during his senior campaign for his unwavering commitment to his teammates and the program. Additionally, Jason spent time interning for our Strength and Conditioning Coach, Matt Chatham. Jason will continue his studies next year in pursuit of his graduate degree.
 
Tim Allen is a business major from Smithfield, R.I.  As a four-year letter-winner and a forward for the program, Tim suited up in 86 games, contributing 14 goals and 27 assists for 41 points. During his career, Tim played a substantial role in all capacities of the game. He was recognized as an NEHC weekly award winner on several occasions and was named to the Skidmore Invitational All-Tournament Team during his Sophomore season. Additionally, Tim was a repeat member of the Thoroughbred Society and the NEHC All-Academic Team. Tim also took the mound as a middle reliever on the baseball team. Tim will be putting his Business degree to use as he moves to NYC to work for KPMG.
 
John Litscher is a computer science major with a mathematics minor from Haymarket, Virg.  John's career was defined by his consistency and his reliability. As a four-year letter-winning forward, John competed in 94 games, contributing 9 goals and 20 assists for 29 points. He played in nearly every role imaginable for a forward during his career, but found his niche and excelled in the center position. John is a repeat Thoroughbred Society Inductee, NEHC All-Academic Team recipient, and an AHCA All-American Scholar. Upon graduation, John will put his Skidmore degree to work as a Database Engineer for i360 in Virginia.
 
Owen Campbell is a health and human physiological sciences major from Foxboro, Mass.  As a four-year letter-winning forward, Owen suited up in 96 games, contributing 22 goals and 20 assists for 42 points. Owen finished the 2019-20 season as the team's leading goal-scorer and was recognized as an NEHC weekly award winner. Owen is a repeat Thoroughbred Society Inductee, NEHC All-Academic Team recipient, and an AHCA All-American Scholar. Upon graduation, Owen will put his Skidmore degree to work training elite athletes with Edge Performance in Westboro, Mass .
 
Jeff Kirkwood is a Business major from Ithaca, N.Y. Jeff's career was defined by his work ethic and competitiveness. As a two-year letter-winning forward, Jeff competed in 20 games, contributing 1 goal. He served as a quiet leader to his peers and the underclassmen. Additionally, Jeff is an NEHC All-Academic Team recipient. Upon graduation, Jeff will be moving to Virginia and has taken a position with Capital One in their management rotation program.
 
Matt Wolf is a psychology major with a business minor from Naperville, Ill. As a four- year letter-winning forward, Matt suited up in 78 games, contributing 12 goals and 17 assists for 29 points. Despite battling injuries during his four years, Matt was a reliable, and versatile center with a high hockey IQ. Matt served as an assistant captain during his senior campaign.  Additionally, he was a repeat member the NEHC All-Academic Team. Matt is deciding between job offers and will be putting his psychology and business degrees to work in either the marketing or consulting industries.
