SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's basketball team opens Liberty League action against Hobart Friday at 7:30 p.m. at the Williamson Center. The game will be a rematch of the 2019 Liberty League title game when the Thoroughbreds won 82-66.

The home league weekend continues on Saturday at 4 p.m. against RIT.

The Thoroughbreds (1-3) are coming off a 64-60 victory over Plattsburgh.

The Statesmen (4-1) start off league action on a three-game win streak after a 66-59 win over St. John Fisher. The Tigers (3-2) beat Alfred 78-69 in their last contest and will take on Vassar College Friday night.

Skidmore features balanced scoring led by
Pat Gallagher's 11.0 points per game. Â
Ty Lamport is adding 9.0 ppg.
Ryan Murunge has been tough in the paint, hauling in 7.5 rebounds per game while tallying 1.3 blocks per game.

Hobart is led by Dan Masino (14.8 ppg, 2.8 apg) and Tucker Lescoe (11.6 ppg, 3.6 apg). Edens Fleurizard has made his presence known under the rim with 8.4 rebounds per game.

RIT has the 1-2 punch of Curtis Nesbit (14.6 ppg) and Matt Anderson (13.2 ppg, 6.0 rpg). Keegan Ocorr is among the league assist leaders with 6.0 per game.
