Returning to the conference playoffs for the first time since 2023, the Thoroughbreds compiled a 9-9 record in league play, highlighted by impressive victories over top-seeded RPI, 67-60, and fourth-seeded St. Lawrence, 57-54. Skidmore enters the postseason as one of the hottest teams in the conference, having won four of its final five games — with its only loss coming in the regular season finale by just two points in the final seconds at RIT.

HISTORICAL POSTSEASON PERSPECTIVE
Skidmore has faced the Brewers three times in the postseason during head coach Joe Burke's tenure, compiling a 1-2 record. The teams' most recent matchup came in the 2022 Liberty League Championships, when Vassar came out on top 65-48. The Thoroughbreds defeated Vassar in the 2016 semi-finals, 82-71, en route to a fourth Liberty League Championship.

The Thoroughbreds have won five Liberty League Titles in program history (2011, 2012, 2015, 2016, 2019), while Vassar's lone title came in 2022.
