TROY, N.Y.—Risa Fukushige was selected Liberty League Singles Player of the Week and joined teammate Chanhtel Thongphok as Doubles Team of the Week for the week ending Oct. 13,
 
Fukuushige went 3-0 to win the A Flight at the Bowdoin Invitational, beating top players from Colby and Bowdoin. 
 
She then went 3-1 in doubles with Thongphok to advance to the doubles A Flight finals, beating teams from Colby and Bowdoin.  The pair lost to Bowdoin's top team in the finals in a tight match.
 
The pair will compete in the ITA Cup national championships this weekend in Rome, Ga.
