Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College baseball team closed out its home schedule with an 8-4, 12-3 Liberty League sweep of Bard College Saturday at Castle Diamond. The teams will meet again Sunday at Bard with a 12 p.m. start.
 
The Thoroughbreds improve to 12-22 and 7-15 in league play. The Raptors drop to 9-25 and 4-14.
 
GAME 1
 
Andrew Aikins (4-3) got the complete game win, going all seven, allowing four runs (two earned on seven hits, with one walk and two strikeouts. Seven Gilbert was 3-4 with a two-run home run in the sixth.  Shawn Klier went 1-3 with a three-run home run in the third. Chris Lorenz was 1-3 with a two-run double in the fourth. Daniel Dasgupta and Will Potter added two hits each.
 
GAME 2
 
The Thoroughbreds scored 12 runs on 17 hits for the sweep. Jeb Clarke was 3-5 with three runs. Mike LaVita was 2-3 with two doubles and two RBI. Potter was 2-3 with a double and four RBI. Gilbert and Klier continued their hot hitting with two hits each. Josh Brown was 2-5 with an RBI.
 
Ben Anderson (2-5) picked-up the win. He went six innings, allowing three runs (one earned) on eight hits with one walk and three strikeouts. Joe Warner and Peter Delaio combined for three scoreless innings of relief.
