SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College baseball team hosts St. Lawrence in a pair of Liberty League doubleheaders on Saturday and Sunday. Games start at 12 p.m. both days.
The Thoroughbreds (8-14, 3-9 Liberty) are coming off a pair of high scoring non-conference wins. Skidmore beat Plattsburgh 14-6 on Wednesday and MCLA 22-1 on Thursday. The Saints (7-13, 5-7) split four games with Bard last weekend before beating Plattsburgh 12-2 on Tuesday.
Josh Brown is hitting .407 with 21 runs, three home runs and 25 RBI for Skidmore.
Shankar Mani is next at .384, while
Steven Gilbert (.368) and
Daniel Dasgupta (.366) are also hitting north of .350.
Freshman
Will Potter is 1-1 with a team-low 3.52 era in four starts.
Andrew Aikins is 3-2 in four stats and a pair of relief stints.
Taylor Digilio (.404) and Michael LeFevre (.395) lead the Saints in hitting. Devin Robson has 12 extra base hits, including three home runs.
Frank Grady is 1-2 with a 4.15 era in four starts. Dan Hedden has 25 strikeouts in 21.1 innings to go along with a 1-2 record and 5.48 era.
Skidmore went 2-0 last season against St. Lawrence, winning 9-8 and 6-3.
