SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College baseball team takes on Vassar College in a four-game Liberty League series that starts at Castle Diamond on Friday at 2 p.m.  The teams travel to Poughkeepsie for the final two games on Saturday at 12 p.m.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 4-8 overall and 1-3 in Liberty League play. The Brewers are 6-8 and 2-2.
 
Josh Brown is off to a hot start at the plate. He's hitting .436 with a .769 slugging percentage and .542 on base percentage. Shankar Mani is batting .391 with 13 runs.
 
Kenny Ajello  is 1-0 in two starts with a 1.54 ERA. Joe Warner has a 1.13 ERA in five relief appearances.
 
Nick Johnson leads the Brewers with a .392 average. Adam Erkis is 1-0 in three starts with a 3.00 ERA, while Johnny Mrlik is 2-1 with a 3.77 ERA.
