St. Lawrence travels to Union in the other semifinal, with the championship game set for Saturday at the highest remaining seed.

The Thoroughbreds (16-8, 11-5) shook off a 2-3 league start to win nine of its final 11 conference games to claim its second straight regular season title. The team will be playing for its fourth Liberty League championship in the past six years.

Skidmore is led by the one-two combination of freshman
Edvinas Rupkus and senior
Erik Sanders.

Rupkus stepped into the starting lineup after 2015 Liberty League Co-Player of the Year
Aldin Medunjanin was lost to a season ending injury. The talented rookie is averaging 16.4 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 1.8 assists per game. He's second in the league in field goal percentage at 55%. Â

Sanders averages a consistent 15.7 points and 5.8 rebounds per game. He has a team-high 47 assists and 12 blocks.

Skidmore leads the league in field goal percentage defense (40.1%).

Vassar (12-13, 8-8) has three players scoring in double figures. Jesse Browne (15.5), Erikson Wasyl (15.1), and Paul Grinde (12.3) top the Brewers in scoring. Grinde is averaging 7.4 rebounds and 1.0 blocks.

The teams split regular season games, with Vassar winning 69-64 on Jan. 15 in Poughkeepsie and Skidmore taking the second game 71-69 in overtime.
