SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College women's soccer team heads to North Country looking for its first Liberty League victory of the season, squaring off against St. Lawrence on Saturday at 3 p.m. in a crucial league matchup for both teams.
The Thoroughbreds come into the matchup still within striking range of a playoff spot, just three points back. On Saturday, Skidmore fell to RIT, 1-0 on a second half goal.
Emily Saliterman leads the Thoroughbreds with four goals on the season, which ranks fourth in the Liberty League despite playing three fewer games than the league leaders. Saliterman is second in the conference with 4.33 shots attempted per game. Seven different Thoroughbreds have scored this season, and

SCOUTING ST. LAWRENCE (6-3-2, 1-2 Liberty League)
The Saints come into the matchup after falling to Middlebury 3-0 on Tuesday. St. Lawrence sits in a three-way tie for fifth place in the conference standings with RPI and Bard, just one point behind Union.
Emily Wade leads the Saints with 14 points, on five goals and four assists. She has tallied half of the team's six game-winning goals, with big scores against WPI, Plattsburgh, and Bard. Wade is third in the conference, averaging 1.27 points per game. In goal, Jackie Sovie has started the majority of the contests, with a 4-2-1 record, a 0.61 goals against average, and a .867 save percentage in seven starts. Samantha Allen has made four starts, posting a 2-1-1 record, with a 1.62 goals against average and a .742 save percentage.
LAST TIME OUT – Last season, Saliterman gave the Thoroughbreds the early lead in the 35th minute, but the Saints rallied for the 2-1 victory on Oct. 24 at Wachenheim Field.
