ROCHESTER, NY – With a playoff spot already guaranteed, the Skidmore College women's soccer team concluded the 2025 regular season with a 4-0 road loss at RIT on Saturday afternoon.
The Thoroughbreds (7-5-4, 4-3-2 Liberty League) hung tough in the first half of play by limiting the Tigers (8-3-6, 5-3-1 Liberty League) to just a lone score, before the home team pulled away comfortably with a second-half hat trick of goals.
Despite the loss, the Thoroughbreds still locked up the opportunity to host a first round playoff game at Wachenheim Field on Tuesday, when the program will take on Ithaca in a 4-5 seeded matchup. The match marks the third time in the past four seasons that Skidmore will host a home playoff game.
