SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (6-12, 0-8 Liberty League): Skidmore dropped four games in its series against Liberty-League leader Rochester over the weekend. Two of the four losses came by two runs or fewer. Sophomore outfielder
Josh Brown had another strong series at the plate, batting .500 (6-12) with two runs scored, seven RBI, a double, a triple and a home run.

Brown, who has produced 11 RBI in the last six games, leads the team with 14 RBI and ranks second in batting average (.341), slugging percentage (.561) and total bases (23).
Mike LaVita is second in the league with a .617 on base percentage and third with a .477 batting average and a .705 slugging percentage. Senior pitcher
Nick Petrella had another quality start on the mound against the Yellowjackets, going six innings and surrendering four runs (two earned) on seven hits, while recording a season-high six strikeouts. Â He leads the team with a 2.93 ERA and sits fifth in the league with 26 K's.

SCOUTING THE BREWERS (3-11, 2-10 Liberty League): Vassar went 1-3 in its series at RIT over the weekend. The Brewers were outscored 26-3 in the final two games of the series. Freshman infielder Bobby Kinne was the only player to record multiple hits in a single game.

The Brewers have struggle offensively this season, posting a league-low .257 batting average, .322 slugging percentage and .332 on-base percentage.

Kinne leads the team with 15 hits and ranks second with a .349 batting average. Junior catcher Dakota Sagnelli has a team-best .370 batting average, a .481 slugging percentage and a .433 on-base percentage.

Junior pitcher Jonathan Hong has been Vassar's most consistent starter. He holds a 2.89 ERA in 18.2 innings, having surrendered just six earned runs in four appearances.Â
