SCOUTING THE THOROUGHBREDS (18-7) Skidmore advanced to its third Liberty League championship game in five seasons with a dominant 72-51 win over RIT in the semifinal.
Aldin Medunjanin scored a game-high 21 points to go along with six assists, five steals and five rebounds.
Connor Merrill and
Royce Paris scored 15 points each, while
Erik Sanders added 10 points, six rebounds and three assists. The Thoroughbreds outscored the Tigers 27-10 over the final 10 minutes of the first half, taking a 40-20 lead in to the break. Skidmore continued to pour it on the in the second, taking a 25-point lead to cruise to the win.

The Thoroughbreds are currently riding a seven-game win streak and are 15-2 over their last 17 games.

Medunjanin is shooting 47.8% (12-25) from beyond the arc over the last two games, averaging 17.5 points, 4.5 rebounds and four assists per game over that span. Paris has continued to provide a spark off the bench, shooting 53.4% and averaging 17 points and 5.5 rebounds per game over the last four games.

SCOUTING THE GOLDEN KNIGHTS (20-6)Â
Clarkson advanced to its second Liberty League championship game in program history with a 69-59 win at Hobart on Wednesday. Â The Golden Knights held the Statesmen to 38.7% (24-62) shooting, including 16.0% (4-25) shooting from 3-point range. John Coleman posted a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards, going 6 for 13 from the field. Dylan Hodownes and Charles McCallister also scored in double-figures with 12 and 10 points, respectively.

The Golden Knights have had a historic season, setting a new program record for wins (20). Clarkson leads the league in field goal percentage (44.8%), assists per game (16.2) and assist-to-turnover ratio.

Coleman leads the league in scoring (16.8 ppg), field goal percentage (53.6%) and steals per game (2.0). McCallister (2.3), Hodownes (1.8) and Felix Abongo (1.5) rank 3-4-5 in the conference assist-to-turnover ratio.

The Thoroughbreds held the Golden Knights to their worst shooting night of the season, as Clarkson finished 15 for 49 from the field, including 2 for 13 from 3-point range. Sanders led the way for Skidmore with 17 points and 10 rebounds, while Medunjanin added 15 points and 11 rebounds in the win.

Skidmore's defense proved to be the difference again in the second meeting between the teams, as Clarkson shot 34.7% (17-49) from the field, going 2 for 13 from beyond the arc. The Golden Knights relied heavily on Abongo, who tallied a season-high 22 points, as Coleman was held to a season-low four points on 2 of 12 shooting.

Paris scored a team-high 19 points, going 5 for 11 from the field and 9 for 10 from the charity stripe, while Medunjanin had 14 points. Paris helped fuel a 28-7 advantage in bench points for Skidmore.
