Basketball teams host Middlebury in semester final

SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore College men's and women's basketball teams close out the semester schedule with a home doubleheader Saturday against Middlebury. The women tip at 2 p.m., followed by the men's game at 4 p.m.
 
The 4-3 women face a 3-0 Middlebury team that held opponents to just 49.3 points per game.
 
The Thoroughbreds are averaging 64.1 points per game behind the 16.3 point average of Kelly Donnelly. Donnelly is also pulling down 11.1 boards per game. Amber Holgate is contributing 9.9 points a 2.0 steals.
 
The 4-1 men extended their win streak to four with a 69-57 win at The College of New Jersey on Tuesday. The Panthers are 3-4 after a 95-48 win over Johnson State on Thursday.  
 
The high scoring Thoroughbreds are averaging 81.0 points per game. A balanced offensive features five players  scoring in double figures. Erik Sanders (16.4), Aldin Medunjanin (14.0), Edvinas Rupkus (13.4), Martin Bedulskij (10.6), and Royce Paris (10.2) are the top five scorers.
