Baseball drops two on Senior Day

Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y.—The Skidmore baseball team struggled in a in 6-1, 11-6 losses to the University of Rochester on Sunday at Castle Diamond.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 9-21 and 3-15 in Liberty League play, while the Yellow Jackets improve to 23-14 and 16-8.
 
In the first game, Mat Marino extended his hitting streak to 10 games, going 2-4. Nick Petrella went the distance to drop to 2-5. He went six innings, allowing 3 earned runs on eight hits and four strikeouts.
 
The final game of the four game set also went to the Yellowjackets  who scored 11 runs on 14 hits and two Skidmore errors.
 
Marco Baratta was the lone bright spot for Skidmore with two home runs, going 2-4 with two runs and four RBI. Erik Watkins also had two hits, going 2-5 with two runs.
 
Skidmore will close out its home schedule on April 29 at 4 p.m. against Middlebury.
