Box Score 2 ROCHESTER, N.Y.—The Skidmore College baseball team continued to struggle on offense with two extra inning 2-1 Liberty League losses to RIT on Saturday.
Skidmore (5-14, 0-8) lost the first game in 10 innings and the second game in 9 to the Tigers( 12-5, 7-2).
In the first game, the Thoroughbreds scratched out an unearned run in the fourth, finishing with one run on five hits.
Erik Watkins and
Mat Marino were 2-4.
Kenny Ajello had a solid start, going five inning, allowing one run in six hits, with two walks and five strikeouts.
Daniel Dasgupta took the loss. He went three innings, giving up one run on two hits.
The second game went the same direction. Skidmore's lone run came in the first on an RBI single from
Jeb Clarke. The Thoroughbreds were held to six hits, with Watkins going 2-4.
Andrew Bannon started, allowing an unearned run on three hits over five innings.
Justin Willig was tagged with the loss.
The teams will go back at it on Sunday at 12.
