Box Score 1 | Box Score 2 FORT MYERS, Fla.—The Skidmore College baseball beat Swartmore 8-3 to salvage a split, Thursday at PDC Field. The Garnet won the first game, 4-1.
 
The Thoroughbreds are 3-5 and will finish their season-opening Florida trip on March 14 against Fredonia State.  Swarthmore is 5-3.
 
In the first game, Alex Pavelock went 2-3. Nick Petrella tossed a complete game, allowing four runs on seven hits.
 
Isaac Forman had a complete game win in the night cap. He scattered seven hits, with three runs and three strikeouts. Erik Watkins went 3-3 with three RBI, a double and two runs. Dan Johnstone and Matt Barra were both 2-4. Watkins contributed five putouts and two assists at second base.
