The Thoroughbreds can clinch a Liberty League Tournament berth with a win in either of their two games this weekend. Skidmore will earn a home game in the semifinal with two wins and a Vassar loss.

The Thoroughbreds (15-8, 9-5), who enter this weekend 6-1 over their last seven games, rank eighth nationally in field-goal percentage defense, holding opponents average of 38-percent shooting from the floor.

Erik Sanders leads the team in scoring, averaging 15.5 points per game and ranks fourth in the conference in steals.
Aldin Medunjanin is second in scoring (15.0 ppg) and first in assists per game (5.1).
Connor Merrill has shot the ball effectively all season, sitting fifth in the conference in field goal percentage (.491). Merrill also leads the league in blocked shots per game (1.7) followed by teammate
Perun Kovacevic (1.5).

RIT will be looking to extend its season this weekend, currently sitting tied with Clarkson for fourth in the Liberty League standings. J.P. Reagan leads the Tigers offense, averaging 13.2 points per game to go along with team-highs in both steals per game (1.7) and blocked shots per game (0.9).

Skidmore battled back from a 21-point second-half deficit, pulling within four in the final seconds of play, but that's as close as they would get, as the Tigers held on for the 83-77 win. Medunjanin scored 17 of his team-high 19 points in the second half and had five assists. Sanders hit for 18 points and nine rebounds,
Eric Lowry scored 12 points and
Tanner Brooks contributed 10 points and three assists.

The game is part of the double-header, with the women's team taking on RIT at 2 p.m. Both games are part of the annual "Big Green Scream." Prior to each game, the Thoroughbreds will honor their seniors in their last regular season home game. Throughout the day, there will be prizes and giveaways throughout the day and a chance to win a 32-inch flatscreen TV.
