Box Score AUSTIN, Texas—The Skidmore College men's basketball team returned from semester break with a 90-75 non-conference loss to Concordia University Texas.

The Thoroughbreds are 3-5, while the Tornados improve to 4-6. Skidmore will start Liberty League play at home Friday at 8 p.m. against RIT.

Concordia came into the game ranked fifth nationally in scoring with 91.5 points per game and hit 90 points for the fourth time in 10 games this season.

Erik Sanders led the Thoroughbreds with 21 points, seven rebounds and three steals.
Aldin Medunjanin contributed 17 points (13 in the second half) and four assists.Â
Connor Merrill added 15 points and 10 rebounds.

Josh Sanchez scored a game-high 26 points for Concordia, while Andre Potts added 25.

The Tornados took advantage of 11 first-half Skidmore turnovers to open a 46-34 lead at the break. Concordia had a decisive 14-0 edge in points off turnovers.

Skidmore battled to within eight, 73-65, with 8:11 to play in the second half, but the Tornados went on a 15-3 run to put the game out of reach. Â Andre Potts had consecutive three-pointers in the run for Concordia. Â Â Potts was 7-9 from three point range.

The Tornados were a blistering 13-23 (56.5%) from three-point range, while Skidmore was 5-16 (31.3%).
