Box Score SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. --Â Plattsburgh guard Kyle Richardson scored all five of his points in overtime, leading the Cardinals to a 60-57 win over the Skidmore College men's basketball team, Monday night at the Williamson Sports Center.

Richardson hit a pair of free throws in the overtime period to keep the Cardinals (3-1) within one before burying a three from the corner to put them in front 59-57. Shamoy McIntosh made a free throw with eight seconds to play and Reggie Williams blocked Skidmore's final attempt to tie the game, sealing the 60-57 win.

Merrill led all scorers with 20 points to go along with five rebounds.
Nanribet Yiljep scored 10 of his season-high 11 points in the first half, adding six rebounds and
Isaac Carp had a team-high 10 rebounds off the bench.

Skidmore pulled out to a six-point lead early in the first half after
Larry Cermak made three free throws. Alan Siergiej's layup cut the Cardinals deficit to three at 15-12, but the Thoroughbreds closed out the first half on a 17-9 run, taking a 32-21 lead into the break.

Plattsburgh came out firing in the second half, cutting the Skidmore lead to five after back-to-back threes by Mike Mitchell. Paris gave the Thoroughbreds a six-point cushion, driving through the line and getting a tough layup to fall, but the Cardinals answered back with an 8-0 run, tying the game with 5:23 to play on a McIntosh three.

Skidmore pushed back in front with 2:09 to play, as
Erik Sanders cut through traffic and converted on a layup, but Plattsburgh responded immediately with a three by Edward Correa. Sanders made another tough basket to put the Thoroughbreds ahead with 57 seconds remaining, but Reggie Williams scored on the Cardinals next possession, tying the game at 52-52. Skidmore had one last look at the basket in regulation, but Paris's floater rolled out off the rim.

The teams traded foul shots in the extra frame, and after Paris made two from the line, McIntosh brought Plattsburgh back within one. After both teams missed shots on their next possessions, Mitchell found Richardson alone in the corner for the three that proved to be the dagger.

Williams led the Cardinals with a double-double, scoring 17 points on 8-of-13 shooting and pulling down a game-high 12 boards. McIntosh added 13 points, nine rebounds and five assists and Mitchell had 10 pints, five boards and three assists.

Skidmore went 18-for-58 from the field, while Plattsburgh was 19-for-60. The Cardinals had a 60-57 advantage in rebounds, including a 23-12 edge in the second half.

The Thoroughbreds compete at the Sig Makofski Invitational at Union College Nov. 29-30. Skidmore takes on Williams at 5 p.m. Nov. 29 and Westfield State at 2 p.m. Nov. 30.
