TROY, N.Y. - Jimmy Sherpa has been named Performer of the Week, as announced by the Liberty League Monday, March 25.

Sherpa's strong play helped the Thoroughbreds go 2-0 over the weekend, posting an 8-1 win over visiting St. Lawrence, Saturday, March 23 and a 9-0 victory over RIT on Sunday, March 24.

Against St. Lawrence, Sherpa won easily at number one singles (6-0, 6-1) and partnered with Gabe Steerman to post an 8-5 victory at number two doubles. 

Sherpa was dominant against RIT as well; winning again at number one singles (6-0, 6-1) and number one doubles 8-2.

Sherpa and the rest of the men's tennis team will look to keep the momentum going Saturday, March 30 at 1 P.M. when they face Hobart College in Geneva, N.Y.
