Box Score Rochester, N.Y.--Skidmore (14-6, 8-3 Liberty League) got back in the win column with a 72-58 win over RIT (6-13, 2-8 Liberty League) in Liberty League action Friday night.
Aldin Medunjanin led Skidmore with 16 points, nine rebounds, six assists and a block.
Tanner Brooks tallied 18 points, on 6-of-12 shooting, including four three pointers.
The Thoroughbreds shot 48 percent from the floor on 24-of-50 shooting. Skidmore was 11-of-24 from three-point land and were 13-of-16 from the charity stripe.
RIT's J.P. Reagan scored a career high 17 points on 6-of-9 shooting from the floor to lead the Tigers. He added six rebounds, two assists, two blocks and a steal.
Leading 13-12 at the 12:17 mark of the first half, RIT went scoreless over a 6:39 stretch, falling behind 13 points on a three pointer by
Eric Lowry with 5:27 to play in the opening half.
RIT got the lead down to seven, capping off a 10-3 run on a three pointer with :41 seconds to play.
Connor Merrill drained a three pointer with eight seconds to play in the half giving Skidmore a 37-27 halftime advantage.
The Tigers opened the second half on a 10-5 run, cutting Skidmore's lead to 42-37 on a jumper by Reagan.
The Tigers got the score down to six on two separate occasions on a pair of free throws and a bucket from Travis. That would be as close as the Tigers would get in the second half as the Thoroughbreds built their lead back to 14 points.
