Box Score Canton, N.Y.-- Skidmore and St. Lawrence battled to a scoreless tie in double-overtime in the  Liberty League action at Sandy MacAllaster Field. 

Each team had solid chances in extra time, but neither could capitalize.  St. Lawrence moves to 5-1-2 on the season (0-0-1 Liberty League), while Skidmore now has a 1-5-1 mark (0-1-1 Liberty League).     

The teams struggled to create scoring opportunities in the opening stanza, but improved offensively as the game progressed.  St. Lawrence's best chance in the first half came when junior Julia Friesen fired a shot from 25 yards out towards the far post, but it sailed just wide.  In the 34^th minute, Skidmore's Christine Bellotti found Caty Sheridan inside the 18 yard box, who one-touched an open-look over the net. 
 
Ten minutes into the second half, Skidmore's Michelle Finan fed a ball through to Bellotti to create a breakaway.  St. Lawrence's first-year goalkeeper Kelsey West came out to challenge and Bellotti's shot went high and wide of the near post.   In the 57^th minute, St. Lawrence had a similar opportunity when senior Stephanie Sayward sent the ball through the Thoroughbred's defense to sophomore Mackenzie Collins whose shot went just wide of the far post.  A minute later, Collins beat her defender down the right side and fed the ball in to Sayward, whose one-touch shot rolled just outside of the far post.   
 
In the first overtime, Skidmore's Finan dribbled to the goal line and played a ball from the right side on the ground towards the center, which went all the way through untouched until the Saints defense cleared it out of the zone.  In the 97^th minute, St. Lawrence's Hessney beat two Thoroughbred defenders on the left side near the goal line before finding Collins open in front, but Collin's shot rolled wide right of the post. 
 
With :45 seconds left in the first overtime period, Bellotti was sent a through ball to the left side and her defender was tripped up in the play.  She took a shot from the left of the 18 and missed outside the far right post.  In the second overtime, Yam was able to open up the Saint defense for a shot at the top of the 18 yard box, but it sailed high.
 
Skidmore finished with an edge in shots (18-14) and corners (3-2).  West made five saves for the Saints, while Gab Lawrence made four for the Thoroughbreds.
