Skidmore tunes up on MCLA, 15-8

North Adams, Mass.--  The Skidmore College baseball team closed in on the 20-win mark with a 15-8 non-league win at Mass College of The Liberal Arts on Thursday.
 
The Thoroughbreds scored 15 runs on 13 hits and seven MCLA errors to improve to 19-8.  MCLA falls to 11-18.  Skidmore jumps right back into Liberty League play on Friday with a pair against league leader St. Lawrence, starting at 1:30 p.m.

Erik Watkins went 4-5 with a pair of doubles and three runs to lead Skidmore.  Zack Rudman was 3-5 with two doubles, three runs, and three RBI. Jeff Spindel (1-0) tossed five innings to earn the win, allowing three runs on five hits, with one walk and four strikeouts. Jordan Keysor picked-up the save with 1.1 innings of perfect relief.
