Ft. Myers, Fla.—The Skidmore College baseball team closed out its spring trip with a split against SUNY Fredonia. The Thoroughbreds won the first game 4-1 and lost the second 7-0.
In the first game,
Zack Rudman was tough on the mound and at the plate for Skidmore. Rudman went 1-3 with an RBI triple and earned the win, allowing one run on four hits over 5 1/3 innings.
Matty Tatkow was 2-3.
The second game was all Fredonia. Two Blue Devil pitchers combined for a no-hitter, allowing only six walks. Skidmore committed five errors.
The 6-2 Thoroughbreds open Liberty League play at home on Saturday against the University of Rochester with a doubleheader starting at 1:30 p.m.
