"Widener put on a great tournament for a great cause" said coach Joe Burke. "I was pleased with our effort and energy all weekend. Our young team got a valuable experience against two quality opponents."
"On friday I thought we made too many mistakes down the stretch and to be quite honest with you we didn't make enough winning plays" he added. "Tonight, I think we grew up a little bit and learned some lessons. The final shot was obviously huge but our fight to stay in the game despite not making shots is a testament to the teams mental toughness."
Skidmore will host Southern Vermont on Nov. 20 at 7 p.m.
