Skidmore winter athletes earn Liberty League All-Academic honors

Saratoga Springs, N.Y. – The Liberty League honored 25 Skidmore student-athletes who earned winter All-Academic team honors for the 2011-2012 season.
 
Students must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA and be in their third semester at Skidmore to qualify for All-Academic honors.
 
Women's basketball was represented by seniors Megan Gaugler (Amsterdam, N.Y.), Jessie Kavana (Mahopac, N.Y.)  and Hailee Minor (Oak Bluffs, Mass.) along with juniors Logan Frederick (Arlington, Va.), Molly Gile (Dover, N.H.) and sophomore Michela Ottati (Fort Johnson, N.Y.).
 
Representing men's basketball are seniors Garrett Bush (Niskayuna, N.Y.), Melvis Langyintuo (Tamale, Ghana), Brian Lowry (West Hartford, Conn.) and John Mantas (Niskayuna, N.Y.) as well as junior Kevin Dahill (Dobbs Ferry, N.Y.) and sophomore Eli Johnston (Brooklyn, N.Y.).
 
From women's swimming & diving, senior Elaine Burns (Worcester, Mass), juniors Carrie Koch (Wellesley, Mass.), Kristen Stearns (Torrington, Conn.) and sophomores Katherine Kelloway (Marblehead, Mass.), Krista Pelton (St. Davids, Pa.), Lauren Schilling (Woodside, Calif.) and Sarah Shaw (Merion, Pa.) were all recognized.
 
Seniors Sam Leibenhaut (Valley Stream, N.Y.), Andrew Lloyd (Geneseo, N.Y.) Doug Pilawa (Chardon, Ohio), Tim Russell (Bennington, Vt.) and sophomores Tim Brodsky (Auburn, Maine) and Josh Inaba (Kamuela, Hawaii) represented men's swimming & diving.
