Carlisle, Pa.-- Freshman Brock Bakewell scored his second goal of the season and senior goalie Nick Peterson earned his third shutout to lead the Skidmore College men's soccer team to a 1-0 win over Arcadia University in the second round of the Dickinson Red Devil Classic.

The Thoroughbreds are 3-2, while Arcadia drops to 2-3.

Bakewell came off the bench in the first half to score the game's lone goal from Tyler Masters at 22:17.

Skidmore dominated play with an 18-2 shot advantage. Peterson had one save for his 16th career shutout.

The Thoroughbreds open Liberty League play on Sept. 14 at Bard College at 7 p.m.
