Skidmore goes to 3-0 with 6-5 win over Nichols

Fort Myers, Fla.-- Logan Arena scored on a suicide squeeze by Alex Barber in the bottom of the 10th to give the Skidmore College baseball team a 6-5 win over Nichols College, Monday in Florida.

The Thoroughbreds pounded out 14 hits to improve to 3-0. Zach Rudman was 2-2 with a double and three RBI. Matty Tatkow, Rob Rubenstein, and Erik Watkins had two hits each.

Bobby Stafutti picked up the win in relief. Jordan Keysor started and went seven innings, allowing two runs on seven hits with one walk and four strikeouts. Max Martins pitched a perfect eighth inning.

Skidmore plays Kenyon College on March 16.
