Plattsburgh, N.Y. – Tournament offensive MVP
Matt Kelsey scored two goals and had one assist to lead the Skidmore College men's soccer team to a 4-0 victory over Lehman College in the final day of the Cardinal Classic at Plattsburgh State University.
The Thoroughbreds are 3-0. Lehman falls to 0-2. Host Plattsburgh was awarded the tournament championship after also going 2-0 in the “classic” format.
Skidmore dominated the game from start to finish, outshooting Lehman 47-1. Kelsey scored the game's first two goals and then assisted on
Diego Reinero's goal at 59:50. The Thoroughbreds benefited from an own goal at 77:29 for the 4-0 final.

Steve Vasquez stopped one shot for the shutout.
Doug Yeates was also selected to the all-tournament team.
Skidmore returns to action on Sept. 10 against St. Vincent College in the first round of the Skidmore Alumni Tournament.
