Schenectady, N.Y. – The Skidmore College softball team dropped the opening game of the 2010 Liberty League Softball Tournament, 7-1 to host Union on Saturday afternoon at Alexander Field.

The Thoroughbreds fall to 22-13 overall and are scheduled to face the loser of the Rensselaer-Rochester game at 3:30 p.m. this afternoon. The Dutchwomen improve to 27-8.
