TROY, N.Y. –
Lulu Mickle from the Skidmore College softball team was named the Liberty League Rookie of the Week as announced on Tuesday. She is one of five Thoroughbreds to be voted to the all-league team.
Sophia Finch and
Natalie Mayne earned First Team honors, Mickle was joined by
Sam Waters on the Second Team, and
Elle Harrison picked up Honorable Mention accolades.

Lulu Mickle (#15, Fr., IF, Baltimore, Maryland) – Liberty League Rookie of the Year, All-Liberty League Second Team
Mickle is Skidmore's first Rookie of the Year in softball since Dani DeGregory in 2015 and third all-time. The three-time Liberty League Rookie of the Week hit .362 (42-for-116) with 28 RBI and 23 stolen bases in her debut season. The infielder scored 33 runs with two home runs, three doubles, three triples and a .405 on-base percentage. She currently leads the Liberty League in sacrifice flies (4), fourth in triples, and fifth in stolen bases. At third base, Mickle had 56 assists and 41 put outs for an .989 fielding percentage.

Sophia Finch (#11, Jr., IF, Elizabethtown, Pennsylvania) – All-Liberty League First Team
Finch ranks third in the Liberty League with a .412 season beating average. She is second in slugging percentage (.718), fifth in on-base percentage (.479), and second in OPS (1.197). She finished with five home runs and 33 RBI to lead the team offensively. Finch dominated particularly in Liberty League games. She hit .487 (19-for-39) in 12 conference games with five homers, 23 RBI, and a huge 1.565 OPS. She was in the top-10 in 10 offensive categories when it comes to league games. At first base, she had a .988 fielding percentage and many teammates' errors saved.

Natalie Mayne (#19, Jr., OF/P, Fayetteville, New York) – All-Liberty League First Team
Mayne got it done on both sides of the ball for the Thoroughbreds in 2026. She hit .405 (49-for-121) with 11 doubles, three home runs, and shared the team lead with 33 RBI. She also tied Finch with a team-best .479 on-base percentage. She was also a perfect 11-for-11 in stolen-base attempts. In the circle, Mayne went 7-4 with a 3.96 ERA over 76 innings pitched. She earned four out of Skidmore's seven conference wins with six complete games. She finished as one of six qualified Liberty League hitters to finish above .400 hitting. She also ranked in the top-10 in slugging, on-base percentage, OPS, runs scored (38), hit, and RBI.

Sam Waters (#4, So., IF, Kingston, Massachusetts) – All-Liberty League Second Team
Waters broke the Skidmore single-season stolen base record with 35 and is already second all-time with 58 steals through her first two years. The sophomore infielder hit .394 (52-for-132) with a team-high 39 runs scored, along with seven doubles, five triples, three home runs, and 21 RBI. She is fourth in the Liberty League in hits, fifth in runs, tied for first in triples, and second in stolen bases. Waters hit .380 in 14 conference games with a team-best 19 base hits. For the year at second base, she had 54 assists and a .954 fielding percentage in 131 total chances.

Elle Harrison (#5, Sr., OF, Penn Yan, New York) – All-Liberty League Honorable Mention
Harrison hit .324 (33-for-102) in her senior year for the Thoroughbreds with five extra-base hits, including her first-career home run, and 28 runs scored. She also drew a team-high 22 walks and went 28-for-30 on steal attempts to finish third in the league in the category. Her .453 on-base percentage is eighth in the Liberty League. She is also second in walks and sixth in sacrifice bunts (6). Harrison reached base at a .587 pace in 14 conference games where she hit .321 with 14 runs scored. She had 80 put outs, four assists, and a .988 fielding percentage while patrolling centerfield.
