The Skidmore College baseball team won its sixth straight, 22-3 at Southern Vermont College, Tuesday afternoon.  The Thoroughbreds are 17-5.

Skidmore pounded out 23 hits, with 12 players getting a least one and eight getting at least two.

Leejay Pollacchi was 4-6 with three runs and two RBI. Troy Scott made the most of his first collegiate start, going 4-5 with a double and three runs. Casey Quinn went 1-3 with his first collegiate hit--a grand slam. Catcher Geoff Green was 3-3 with a double and two RBI.

Nick Laracuente pitched the first five innings for the win. He allowed three runs on five hits with two walks and six strike outs.

Skidmore will host Plattsburgh in a non-league game at 7 p.m., April 15 at the East Side Recreation Field.
