Port Charlotte, Fla. -- Strong outings on the mound from
Nick Laracuente and
Drew Levinson led the Skidmore College baseball team to a 7-5, 11-3 sweep of Kenyon College, Sunday.
The Thoroughbreds have won three straight to improved to 4-2, while Kenyon drops to 2-4.
In the first game, Laracuente tossed six shutout innings to earn his first win of the season. He allowed no runs on five hits with three strikeouts and one walk.
Anthony Ferri was 2-3 with a double, triple, and two RBI.
Adam Cornachione went 1-2 with a two-run double.
Skidmore pounded out 11 hits in the second game, building a 11-2 lead behind Levinson. In six innings, Levinson allowed two earned runs on six hits with five strikeouts.
Jake Mendellwas 1-2 with a bases loaded double and three runs scored.
Zack Rudman was 2-4 with a pair of RBI,
Matty Tatkow was 2-4 with a double and two RBI, and
Rob Rubensteinn went 2-4.
The Thoroughbreds are back in action against #2 Wooster on March 16 at 1:30 p.m.
