SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College baseball team swept visiting Westfield State in a non-league doubleheader at Ferrari Field on Saturday afternoon in a day that Skidmore honored its new facility's donors. The Thoroughbreds claimed game one, 16-4, before completing the sweep with a 9-2 win in the nightcap.

Game 1 – Skidmore 16, Westfield State 4
- Skidmore scored in all runs but the first two include a six-spot in the bottom of the seventh inning. Skidmore led 6-4 after 5.5 innings before rattling off the final 10 unanswered.
- EJ Stefanelli finished 3-for-5 with four runs ÂÂdriven in. He gave Skidmore the lead in the third with a big two-run double and later hit a run-scoring single in the six-run seventh, as well as a sacrifice fly in the eighth.
- Jack Collins went 2-for-2 with a triple and two walks.
- Quinn McDonald scored five runs. He was 3-for-5 with an RBI.
- Skidmore stole eight bases. Mac Cady and Nate Vandersea each had two.
- Vandersea went 2-for-4 with the two stolen bases and three runs scored.
- Quinn Hocom struck out eight over seven innings for his fourth win of the year. He scattered seven hits with four runs, three earned, and a walk.
- Charles Modlin and Tyler Holm held the Owls scoreless the rest of the way
- Westfield State (5-16) used eight pitchers.

Game 2 – Skidmore 9, Westfield State 2 (7 inn.)
- Skidmore (13-7) had to come back from down two runs as single tallies in the first and second put the guests up a pair.
- The Thoroughbreds plated three in the third. Stefanelli added two more RBI to his total with a two-run double to highlight a two-out rally. Collins, who walked, scored a batter later on an error.
- The Thoroughbreds added three more in the fourth. Holden Caney led off with an infield sing and moved to third on a pair of wild pitches. Vandersea walked and stole second before Galvao delivered a two-RBI single the other way. Collins and Jack Riva later hit sacrifice flies to make it 7-2.
- Skidmore completed the scoring on a two-run Riva single through the left side with two outs in the sixth.
- Sam Dalsimer worked a 1-2-3 seventh to end it.
- Chase Siegel started and earned the win. He allowed two runs on five hits over four innings and a tidy 62 pitches. He walked one and struck out four.
- Collins pitched two scoreless, hitless innings with a pair of strikeouts.
- Galvao finished 3-for-4.
- Cady, out of the leadoff spot, was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
