SCHENECTADY, NY – For the third straight time, the Skidmore College baseball team split a Liberty League doubleheader. This time the Thoroughbreds were at Union College. Skidmore won the first game 6-3 and lost the second 7-4.
The Thoroughbreds are 11-12 and 3-7 in Liberty League play, while the Dutchmen are 5-10 and 2-6.
In the first game,
Mike Jaffe was 2-4 with a pair of runs.
Anthony Ferri was 2-4 with an RBI double.
Brian Lowry had a three-run double.
Ed Reilly had the complete game win on the mound, allowing three runs
(two earned) on 10 hits with two walks and three strikeouts.
In the second game, Union used a pair of homeruns from Shawn Johnson for the 7-4 win. Reilly moved to first base for game two and went 2-4 with a three-run double. Ferri was 2-5 with an RBI.
The two teams will be back at it on Saturday with a doubleheader beginning at 1 p.m. at Skidmore.
