SARATAOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – The Skidmore College men's tennis team won 4-of-6 singles matches, including the clincher by
Radin Sadeghi, to top 24
th-ranked NYU, 4-3m on Saturday afternoon.
- Skidmore, ranked 25th, is 11-4 on the year with its non-league schedule now complete. The Thoroughbreds close the regular season with four matches against Liberty League opponents.
- NYU went ahead 1-0 with wins at No. 1 and No. 3 doubles. Nika Mori and Fletcher King defeated Ito/Fan, 6-4.
- In singles, Kyle Lundberg, Ege Topbas, and Mahen Bitkuri each won to tie it up at three.
- In the second spot, Lundberg took down Bryan Hui 6-1, 6-2 in quick fashion.
- Topbas lost the first set 6-1, but forced the third with a 7-5 decision in the middle set before rolling to a 6-1 clinching third-set win.
- Bitkuri won in straight sets (6-3, 6-3), at sixth singles over Cooper Kline.
- Then, Sadeghi claimed his third set, 6-3, over Jeh-Lei Fan to clinch the tight win for Skidmore.
